March 29, 2015. Pathfinders helped in cleaning up debris left by last year's ice storm at Camp Hope. Bill Gerber, the camp director thanked the group for coming over. The lodge staff prepared a nice and warm lunch for all volunteers. The Pathfinders also worked on their biking honor.


March 13, 2015. Red cards are taped on a cross symbolizing the believer's confession of sins and in faith laying them at the foot of Calvary's cross for Christ the great Burden-Bearer to take away. The vespers service was led by women in commemoration of Women's Day of Prayer.

December 31, 2014. The 2015 resolutions jar is filled with written New Year's resolutions and sealed to be opened years later to serve as a time capsule to remind God's people of His leadings in the past.



December 24, 2014. The sanctuary is prepared for the year end celebrations including the Renewal of Vows.

December 20, 2014. Recognition and Appreciation of Church Officers. Among the officers acknowledged were the elders of 2014 that assisted the pastoral staff.


November 30, 2014. If you think gym night is just about basketball and volleyball, well not anymore. Recently, early comers get a good dose of stretching, led by Bob, and some "bone-crunching" exercise routines, led by Matt. Join in and get healthier.


November 22, 2014. Church visitation to Greater Seattle Fil-Am SDA Church. Matthew spoke during the Hour of Worship. He was accompanied in this trip by our youth, young adults and parents.


November 8, 2014. The Diamond Group composed of seniors sang to the Lord the song "Send the Light" under the direction of Sister Modesta during the Divine Hour of Worship. Visiting evangelist Pastor Luis Bon provided the morning's sermon.


October 31, 2014. Using the opportunity of the Halloween event, a group of members packaged inspirational literature in gift bags that were distributed by the Pathfinders to the public that night.


October 25, 2014. This year's delegates to the annual Pathfinder Leadership Retreat at Hope, BC not only enjoyed a weekend of learning and interaction with other Pathfinder leaders but also sponsored the Saturday cultural night featuring the Philippines. Our TLTs demonstrated the tinikling folk dance. Some from the audience bravely picked up the challenge and tried to weave through the rhythmic slapping of the bamboo poles, while most remain spectators despite many invitations. Other Filipinos from other Pathfinder clubs joined with us in hosting to make the night very memorable.


October 25, 2014. Three precious souls gave their lives to Jesus! As the Holy Spirit worked in their hearts, they made the choice to proclaim their faith publicly through baptism. Pastor Luis Bon conducted the health seminar, "The Living Discoveries" that brought light on how to care for the physical body, but also for the mind and soul. More have signified their willingness to be subject to the rite in the weeks to come.


October 25, 2014. Pastors Appreciation Sabbath. Pastor Levi Estores, senior pastor and Matthew Reyes, youth pastor, were appreciated by church members for their contribution this year towards the growth of the Vancouver Filipino Church. Keep up the good work!


October 25, 2014. As autumn rains pour so does God's blessings. Pastors given appreciation, congregation called to use probation time to turn to God and seek Him, new believers are added to the church, Pathfinders and leaders are further trained, bond with community becomes stronger, news of improvement of ill members, safety on the road and God's travelling mercies. Are these not some of the wonderful blessings from the Giver of every good gift?


October 4, 2014. Elder Wixwat, guest speaker. The BC Conference Treasurer addressed the congregation in his barong (Filipino traditional formal attire) despite the cooler weather.



September 7, 2014. Fundraising Yard Sale for the Sabbath School Investment fund that helps support various evangelistic projects around the world.



September 2014. Summer Sundown Worship at the Park. Our youth group tried to get out as much as possible for our weekly Sabbath sundown worships. Here we are relaxing at the park after our worship and diner at a sponsoring family's residence in Burnaby, BC.


August 2014. Alberta Filipino Camp Meeting. Selected Young Adults attended this summer's event. It was a weekend of making new friends and supporting our Filipino brethren in our neighboring province. Looking forward to going again next year!


August 2014. Vacation Bible School.


August 2, 2014. Amidst the ocean of Pathfinders and staff in the Forever Faithful International Pathfinder Camporee at Oshkosh, Wisconsin, USA. Our church delegates to the Camporee joined the Pathfinders of the Vancouver Rangers and the Burnaby Falcons in having an experience of a lifetime. Daniel was featured as the Bible character to emulate who remained faithful to his faith till the very end.


July 26, 2014. At the annual BC Camp Meeting, friends from all over meet for spiritual renewal, physical rejuvenation and building new social ties and reconnecting with old ones.

We were blessed with great weather and we were all spiritually blessed by the fellowship and messages throughout the weekend. Can't wait for our next bonding event!


July 5, 2014. Communion Service. Deaconesses assist in the preparation of the communion emblems. The quarterly service is a re-enactment of the Last Supper when Jesus admonishes His disciples to "eat of the bread" that represents His body and "drink of the cup" that represents His blood. These are reminders of the great sacrifce of Jesus that made possible the salvation of humanity from the condemnation of sin.





June 27-29, 2014. The Annual Filipino Camp Meeting brings together Filipino Adventists and friends of all ages from British Columbia and beyond. Sabbath School at FCM features simultaneous programs for the different age groups.


May 31, 2014. The Youth and Young Adults had church visitation at Surrey with Pastor Matthew.


May 24, 2014. The Abundant Life Community Church Male Chorus rendered the special song during the Hour of Worship.


May 16-20, 2014. Our Vancouver Rangers Pathfinders pose with some members of the newly formed Surrey Beavers Pathfinders of the Surrey Filipino SDA Church during the annual BC Pathfinder Camporee.

May 10, 2014. Pastor Charles, Communications Director of the BC Conference, presented a compelling challenge to the church to revisit its vision, mission and goals and realign its ministries accordingly including its Media Ministry.


May 10, 2014. Vancouver Rangers Pathfinder Club held their Guide Investiture.



April 26, 2014. The Filipino Adventist & Public Relations team scheduled the visit of Toastmasters International speakers from the local Burnaby club to present tips and pointers in public speaking and communications in general.


April 26, 2014. The Outreach Department coordinated with the Young Adults, Youth, Children's and Music Ministries to bring cheer and messages of hope through spiritual songs and instrumental music to a nearby seniors' residence.


December 21, 2013, Nanaimo SDA Church. In the afteroon, the cast of the "Arise" musical play, comprised mostly of young adults, depicted the moving story of the struggling faith of Jairus and the resurrecting power of Jesus. This is in conjuction with raising funds for victims of super typhoon "Haiyan" that devastated a large area of southern Philippines. Other groups who took part include the Church Choir, Youth Choir, Men's Chorale, Ladies Harmony, Angklung Ensemble. Additionally, solo renditions were provided by MJ Estores and Alvie Florendo. The youth presented the lesson review during Sabbath School and the Hour of Worship was mostly musical with a historical review of Adventist work in the Philippines by Pastor Levi Estores and also a slideshow presentation by Pastor Rud of the Nanaimo Church regarding the aftermath of the typhoon. Following the afternoon musical play was another plethora of musical praises capped by five pieces by the Angklung (bamboo) Ensemble.

August 3, 2013, Camp Hope. The annual BC Camp Meeting brings about the usual abundance of food during Sabbath lunch potlucks and people from all over flock together in celebrating the week-long Adventist "feast" involving spiritual, physical, mental, and social enrichment. The year's theme "In Christ Alone" brought Shawn Boonstra, Doug Batchelor and others in delivering timely messages from God.


July 28, 2013, Camp Hope. The annual BC Camp Meeting also brings about opportunities for our youth to assist in various capacities such as helping out at the Children's Divisions.



June 28-30, 2013. Mission S2 team at Lipa Adventist Academy (first stop). The ladies of the Vancouver Rangers complemented the Lipa Adventist Academy Choir's rendition of "Blessings" through synchornized sign language gestures.


June 25, 2013. Mission S2 began with the lining up at the Vancouver International Airport to board the Philippine Airlines flight to Manila. Over 40 Pathfinders and parents from Vancouver, BC and Loma Linda, CA composed the team that would share God's blessings to different Adventist academies and their neighboring communities in the Philippines in a span of two weeks.

May 18, 2013. BC Pathfinder Camporee. The Vancouver Rangers once again attained the highest award for this year, the Platinum Award. Above is their presentation in the booth display. The camporee theme is "Hidden Treasure" for which each is to seek diligently, and that is Jesus.



May 12, 2013. Celebration of Mother's Day. The Men's Ministry headed by Larry prepared for the mothers a hearty breakfast.



April 2013. The return visit of Pastor Ely and Dr. Bler Sacay to Vancouver Church provided closure and renewed friendships.

February 3, 2013. Volleyball is back! After being almost inexistent for several years during the Sunday Gym Night which has been dominated by basketball, interest for volleyball has finally returned. Fueled by the upcoming inter-school volleyball tournament, our teens are up to the challenge of maintaining volleyball as a permanent feature of Gym Night.



December 28, 2012. The Children's Christmas musical program portraying the Star of Bethlehem.



December 20, 2012. Pathfinders received dry goods donations and forwarded them to the Directions Youth Services Centre in Downtown Vancouver.



December 15, 2012. The Deza brothers, Leon and Greg, sing "Amazing Grace" during the divine worship service at Vancouver Filipino SDA Church. Both have amazing conversion experiences to share, brands plucked from the fire (Zechariah 3:2).



December 13, 2012. Bethlehem Town, Deer Lake School. We participated in the annual event where students and faculty of DLS wear costumes from the time of Jesus in Israel. People from all over who come are blessed by the tour of the Jerusalem temple, animal farm and musical presentations. Visitors get to purchase various food and miscellaneous items from different booths after exchanging their Canadian dollars to Bethlehem shekels.



December 1, 2012. Welcome to New Immigrants. Thanks to our organizing committee for hosting a splendid welcome of our newly landed immigrants and a surprise birthday celebration for Pastor Levi Estores. Again we were blessed with encouraging words of affirmation and experiences, songs and enjoyable time together. We even saw two "sisters" reunited.



November 24, 2012. TJ Carino joined the fellowship of Burnaby Fil-Can Seventh-day Adventist Church through baptism together with two ladies via profession of faith. The event was held at the basement of the mother church, Vancouver Filipino Church.  Welcome to the family and may God be praised!


November 11, 2012. The Vancouver Rangers Pathfinder Club are at it again despite the wet weather. Scouring through Tecumseh Park for litter, they continue to don the "Keep Vancouver Spectacular" yellow vests provided by the City of Vancouver since 2009. Club members enjoy helping to keep streets and parks clean while bypassers and city officials continue to appreciate their contribution to the community.
 


October 6, 2012. The choir presented a concert during the Hour of Worship featuring a play integrated into some of the songs depicting the story of Job in a modern setting that touched hearts and misted many eyes. Choir director Levi Bacabac conducted the choir through twelve powerful and moving hymns from the classics to the contempory. While play script writer and director Amy Ongyiu provided the leadership to help gel the cast into acting out the eternal message that God is always in control. The earliteen ladies interpreted the song "Blessings" in sign language that left the attendees in awe of the Giver of talents. "We Are Music of the King", is an unforgettable presentation reminding us to always sing for Him through our lives.



September 22, 2012. Sponsored by the Quiet Hour Ministries, the Melashenko trio of Joedy, Judy and Rudy visited Vancouver to fill the sanctuary with their rich blended voices as they sang southern gospels and shared their stirring testimonies of God's working in their lives and others. Truly blessed and inspired, the hearers purchased every item the trio had on sale.



September 16, 2012. President Francisco Gayoba of the Adventist University of the Philippines reports on the progress of God's work in our premier educational institution in Silang, Cavite, Philippines. Together with him from the Philippines is Beth Casel, university philatrophy director, who tirelessly promotes the project of putting up the College of Medicine building. Other guests also in attendace are Albert Bagingito, president of the AUP Alumni of Western North America (AWESNA), and president of the Pacific Northwest (PACNOR) AUP alumni sub-chapter Ephraim Roxas and company. The refreshing news of both accomplishments and challenges revives alumni and supporters to exert greater efforts to assist the university financially and through prayers.


September 1, 2012. Mariel accepts Jesus as her personal Saviour at the culmination of this year's Vacation Bible School with her VBS mates onlooking and family, friends and church members witnessing the joyous occasion. Themed as FROG, that is, "Fully Rely on God", the five-day program brought church and neighborhood kids together for fun, games, crafts, singing and learning about God.
 


August 29, 2012. Tasty meal, wonderful smiles, new friends, cool memories. That and other great things can be said of this event as the Teen Leadership Training Pathfinders (TLTs) supervised by Loveza Tarango reach out and bond with a local teen soccer team.


July 30, 2012. Happy birthday Allen! Besides getting a birthday party, Allen, like all the other campers, is enjoying the BC Camp Meeting with the theme "One Mind -- One Purpose". From July 27 through August 4, over 3,000 campers from all over BC and beyond congregate together at Camp Hope living under canopies and tarps, in tents, cabins, trailers, and motor homes, all to learn, fellowship, worship, reach out to others and be blessed by the rich natural surroundings.



May 19, 2012. The Pathfinders line up in preparation for the inspection. The BC Pathfinder Camporee is the annual weekend event that is the year's highlight that all Pathfinder clubs look forward to. The Vancouver Rangers Pathfinder Club uses new canopies to keep everyone dry and cheerful. Also new are TLTs who joined for the first time and assists the club leadership. The club finishes with another Platinum Award again this year.
